On 11 May 2017, the PIER running team of 19 young scientists from DESY and Universität Hamburg participated for the fifth time in the company running event "B2RUN".
7800 runners from approximately 330 companies in and around Hamburg had left their offices and laboratories and went straight to the six kilometres running course to outpace their competitors and to enjoy the team spirit in Altona's Volkspark just off Bahrenfeld Campus.
Participation in the "B2RUN" is almost a tradition for our athletic young scientists, and once again they have proved what they are capable of: Running with the slogan "Accelerating people", the mixed team of men and women ranked 115th. Congratulations to our athletic PhD students!
Since 2013, the PIER running team meet regularly on Bahrenfeld campus to exercise together. Rostyslav Shevchenko, PhD student in the DESY Particle and Astroparticle Group, invites everyone interested to join the PIER running group. Date and time of the training sessions will be announced.
